✨ A Clinic Update this Matariki

As we celebrate Matariki, a time of reflection, gratitude, and looking ahead to new beginnings, I wanted to share a personal update with you.

As many of you know, our family is expecting our second child. So, Burwood Acupuncture will be temporarily closing from 12 July 2026 for maternity leave, with plans to reopen in February 2027.

A position has been advertised for a registered acupuncturist to join the clinic. If a suitable practitioner is found, there is potential for services to continue during my leave, and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated.

Matariki also reminds us to pause and reflect on the year that's been. Looking back over the past two years, I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted me with their care, recommended the clinic to family and friends, or supported this small business. Your support has helped Burwood Acupuncture grow into the wonderful community it is today.

While this is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for my family, it is certainly not goodbye. I look forward to returning in 2027 and welcoming you back to the clinic.

Matariki marks the beginning of the Māori New Year, and a time to remember those who have passed, celebrate the present, and set intentions for the year ahead.

The star cluster we know as Matariki here in Aotearoa has been watched, named, and honoured by cultures all around the world for thousands of years including in China, where it is called 昴 (mǎo).

From all of us at CMCNZ, we hope you take a moment this Matariki to slow down, connect, and look forward to what's ahead.

❄️ Embrace Winter

As the seasons change, it's a great reminder to slow down and take care of yourself.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, winter is a time to conserve energy, prioritise rest, enjoy nourishing cooked meals, and keep warm. These simple seasonal changes can help support your health and wellbeing throughout the colder months.
