International Nurses Day is a moment to celebrate nurses and the difference they make for people, whānau and communities every day.

This year’s theme, Empowered Nurses Save Lives, speaks to the vital role nurses play in strengthening health systems and supporting the wellbeing of communities.

For Nurse Maude, this has been part of our story since Sibylla Maude first championed care in the home. Today, our nurses continue that legacy through skilled, compassionate care that supports people to stay well, return home safely, and remain connected to their communities.

To our nurses, thank you for the kindness, skill and dedication you bring every day. We are proud to celebrate you and the difference you make.

This recognition means so much to us, as it reflects the experiences of the people and communities we care for every day.

Since 1896, Nurse Maude has been bringing care directly into people’s homes, helping people live well with compassion, dignity and respect.
