You are not your imaging.
If you’ve been told your back pain is “because of arthritis” or “disc degeneration,” here’s something to consider:
I ask people,
“Did you have back pain a few months ago?”
Most say no.
So those changes would have been there then and didn’t hurt… are they really the cause of your pain now?
Age-related changes on scans are extremely common — even in people with no pain at all. They’re often just “wrinkles on the inside.”
