Most of us know that our Māori and Pacific whānau more commonly suffer from Gout, but did you know they are less likely to be prescribed the preventative medication Allopurinol???

The University of Auckland is conducting a long-term study to myth-bust and destigmatise Gout, introduce Allopurinol, and achieve some long-term data to recommend Allopurinol as the premium response – especially for Māori and Pacific.

This kaupapa is an easy fit and low-maintenance kaupapa, increasing access to quality care and they need 30 Māori participants! If you suffer from gout and are interested in premium support and care please reach out to Harriet on 02108496887 or follow the details in the poster .. Mauri ora!

We are looking for calm and patient adult volunteers to book for ear suctioning so that our nurses can practice their skills. This is a safer alternative to ear syringing (with water) and using cotton buds. This is a free service for whānau especially those that find it difficult to access other ear clinic services due to cost and transport issues.
Please note: Koha will be appreciated on the 2nd visit to help us replace supplies.

This past weekend Te Hā Oranga hosted an amazing community Matariki event in Tamaki Makaurau ✨

As part of this event we were committed to working with our hapori to learn more about Matariki, to educate and support whānau to enhance their health and wellbeing, to celebrate our culture and to enjoy a day together as whānau - we did all of that and more✨

As a Iwi Owned Māori health provider, we continue to give our all to our communities and support everyone we work with to thrive✨

A big mihi to Procare and all of the organisations who were part of this event, to our kaimahi and our wonderful event planner Kiri Horn who worked hard to make sure the event was Matariki special!
