Wonderful two days giving talks in both Dunedin and Invercargill on Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) - plenty of questions from a room full of doctors, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists and trainees.

I was able to discuss my approach to using the medication, and how important doing it in integrated health team to maximize the benefits for the patient.

ANZMOSS Day 2 was just as good as day one ! Moderating a session with Dr Jason Free was a great experience. Still managed to catch up with a lot of the metabolic/bariatric surgery team mentors at the Austin Austin Health and our ANZMOSS fellows group JRab to explore Hobart before leaving this amazing State.

I think it is so important to have these relationships surgeons around the world to discuss difficult cases, or ask for a second opinion. I am very thankful to have these colleagues whom I can count on - not just here in Australia, but in New Zealand and Dublin.

My year as an ANZMOSS Fellow was recognized yesterday at our yearly scientific conference.

Thank you to our president Nick Williams for the lovely words when presenting my certificate of completion of my Fellowship with ANZMOSS .

The year taught me some complex surgical skills, but also to be a good surgeon you need to listen, advocate and be empathetic to your patients. I continue to learn from my mentors at Austin Health and am so grateful for their friendship.

Thank you to Health NZ - Southern and University of Otago - Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka for supporting my year away to do this fellowship. And Medtronic for their continued support.
