Last week, students from Columba College stepped up, rolled up their sleeves, and made a real difference where it matters most.

Every donation has the potential to help save lives, and that's exactly what makes this so special. While most students were busy with classes, assignments, and everyday school life, they made the choice to give something priceless to people they'll never even meet.

🌼 Daffodil Day is coming up on 28 August 🌼

NZBlood is proud to support the Cancer Society New Zealand and the incredible work they do for New Zealanders affected by cancer.

Blood and plasma donations play an important role in cancer treatment and care with patients often requiring blood transfusions during chemotherapy, surgery, and treatment. Additionally, plasma-derived medicines can help support patients with weakened immune systems and other treatment-related complications.

Every donation has the potential to make a real difference, helping ensure lifesaving blood products are available when they're needed most.

This Daffodil Day, we're standing alongside the Cancer Society and all those affected by cancer. Together, we can help provide hope, support, and care to those who need it most. πŸ’›

This week we were absolutely blown away by the incredible students from Otago Girls' High School who rolled up their sleeves and stepped up to save lives through blood donation! ❀️

The energy, enthusiasm, and generosity you brought into our donor centre was next level. Every donation has the power to make a huge difference to recipient patients and seeing so many young people committed to helping others gives us so much hope for the future.
