I’m back!
Earlier this year I took some unexpected time off after rupturing my Achilles, and recovery has been quite the journey. I’m incredibly grateful for all the support from my village throughout this time—especially with a toddler in the mix!
It’s been a season of healing, learning to walk again, and celebrating the little wins, like finally saying goodbye to the moon boot. I also kept busy studying towards my Level 6 Diploma in Remedial Massage through SIT, which gave me something positive to focus on while I recovered.
Recovery has reminded me that healing is rarely a solo journey. Alongside staying consistent with my rehab exercises at home, I've benefited from a combination of osteopathy, physiotherapy, Chinese medicine, and massage. It's given me an even greater appreciation for the value of having the right team around you to support your recovery.
Over the past couple of months, I’ve been easing back into work, and it feels great to be back treating clients.
For those who don't know me yet, here's a little about me. I'm a wife and mum to a busy 2½-year-old, and we live in West Otago where my husband and I run a crutching and mobile shearing business. I love keeping active through group fitness and lifting weights, and after a career in hospitality I followed my passion for massage therapy.
I've now been studying and working as a massage therapist for the last 2 years and I love helping people move better, recover well, and achieve their goals. My main focus is remedial and therapeutic massage, particularly for sports performance and injury recovery, while also offering relaxation massage for those looking to unwind.
With winter in full swing, now's a great time to book in for a maintenance massage if you're dealing with any aches or pains. Whether you're training for sport, recovering from injury, or simply looking after your body, I'd love to help keep you moving and feeling your best.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
