Did you know that part of our charitable purpose is our 100% ownership of Braemar Hospital? Sounds unique, and that's because it is! Many private hospitals are owned by private and commercial shareholders, but our arrangement suits us perfectly, and it all comes down to our commitment to working together to improve health outcomes in our community. Here's how:
🤝We work together to continuously enhance the innovative, personalised care our patients know us for. This includes ongoing invesment in world-class operating theatres and leading-edge medical technology.
🤝We invest in our people, partnerships, capability building and health-related research to effect wide change.
🤝 A portion of all hospital fees goes back to us, the Trust, to further enable the work we do in the community.
🤝 We recently purchased nearly 280 solar panels, now sitting pretty on the rooftop of the hospital's Ohaupo Road site in Hamilton, allowing the hospital to generate 9% of its own energy and offsetting energy consumption by 2.5 million kilowatts per year.
Not to mention the genuine relationships and trust that underpin how we work together. Great work happens when you work with great people.
