Happy International Nurses Week from all of us at Sound Care Group.

This week we celebrate and recognise the incredible nurses across all our facilities for their compassion, dedication, professionalism, and the meaningful difference they make in the lives of our residents and families every single day.

Earlier this week, each facility held their own special recognition and celebration to honour the nurses within their homes. As we close Nurses Week, we would also like to hear directly from some of our nurses across Sound Care Group and what nursing truly means to them.

To all our nurses thank you for everything you do. We appreciate you not only this week, but every day.

Today we celebrate a truly special person our Owner and Director, Carly Mangulabnan.

From humble beginnings on a small island in Coron, Palawan, Philippines, you took a brave step moving to New Zealand in 2011 as a student, chasing a dream and building a future from the ground up.

The journey was never easy. It took courage, resilience, and unwavering determination.

And in 2017, you took a bold leap opening your very first rest home in Eltham, Taranaki.

From that single beginning, your journey has grown into something truly remarkable six care facilities across New Zealand, providing homes, support, and meaningful care to so many.

Through your leadership, you have shaped not only Sound Care Group, but also the lives of residents, families, and staff across every home.

You didn’t just build facilities you created opportunities.
Opportunities for people to grow, to build careers, and to support their families.

You are a young leader and achiever proving that success is not just about what you build, but about how many lives you uplift along the way.

From creating strong teams to nurturing a culture where care, dignity, and compassion come first, your vision continues to inspire all of us.

Thank you for leading with heart, for believing in people, and for creating a culture where everyone can thrive.

Wishing you a birthday filled with love, celebration, and the same warmth you bring to others every day.

Happy 40th Birthday, Carly!

Take care, stay safe, and look after one another.

Bringing our leaders together to learn, connect, and grow.

Our leadership and management team recently came together for a dedicated day of development in partnership with Waikato Institute for Leadership and Sport Studies. The session focused on strengthening leadership capability, aligning how we work, and recognising the contributions of our people across Sound Care Group.

Because building strong teams starts with investing in our leaders.
