Waikato & Bay of Plenty Donor Community!💛

We're currently behind our plasma collection target and need more donations from our local community to help get us back on track.

In the Waikato, we need an extra 280 plasma donations and in Bay of Plenty and 150 donations each week, to help us reach our national target of collecting a minimum of 25,000 donations by 30 November to ensure we finish the year on track before the Christmas break.

It’s been a hard year for plasma donations generally and more recently, the severe and prolonged influenza season has significantly impacted donations from many regular donors, while demand for plasma-based products remains high.

Next week we have the following appointments to fill at the donor centres:

📍Tauranga: 55

If you can donate plasma once, or even better twice, before 30 November now is the time. You'll help ensure patients across New Zealand continue receiving the vital treatments they rely on.

Monday Milestones at Tauranga Donor Centre! 🎉

Today we celebrated two incredible plasma donors whose combined donations have reached an amazing 500 donations!

Philip achieved his 200th donation, and shortly afterwards Paul came in for his 300th donation.

Congratulations to both of you on this remarkable achievement. Your ongoing commitment is helping make a real difference for patients who rely on plasma-derived medicines.

We're also calling on both existing and new plasma donors to book their next appointment as the amount of plasma we collect over the coming months increases to help support the patients who need it most.

🚨 Hamilton & Tauranga community, we need your help. With winter illnesses affecting many people in our communities at the moment, we're seeing fewer donors able to make their appointments.

📅 At the Hamilton Centre Monday is our day of greatest need, with more than 40 appointments still available.

❤️ Walk-ins are welcome for whole blood donations. 📞 If you'd like to donate plasma as a walk-in, give us a call first and we'll let you know what appointments are available.

🕛 Weekdays between 12pm and 4pm currently have multiple appointments available. ✅ We're also OPEN Saturday 29 August at both Hamilton and Tauranga Centre's - Tauranga is only available for plasma donations on Saturday.

Today marks three years since we moved into our London Street premises! ❤

Since 14 August 2023, we have collected 36,601 plasma donations, 18,604 whole blood donations, and 1,601 platelet donations!

While we can't quantify the amount of cheese and biscuits enjoyed over the past three years, we're sure it's been substantial.

A heartfelt thank you to all our donors for your ongoing generosity and support. Your willingness to give helps save and improve lives every day. Every donation makes a meaningful difference, and the achievements we celebrate today would not have been possible without your continued commitment to patients and our community.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated staff, whose professionalism, commitment, and care make these achievements possible every day. Your hard work ensures our donors have a positive experience and helps us continue delivering for patients in need.

Finally, thank you to our incredible volunteers for the warm welcome, support, and encouragement you provide to donors every day. Your generosity of time and commitment helps create a positive donation experience and is a valued part of our success. 🎉
