Jaw pain & Pelvic dysfunction š¤
It sounds unexpected but the body is more connected than most people realise.
Your jaw, breathing muscles, core, and pelvic floor all work together as part of one integrated system. When tension, compensation, or dysfunction develops in one area, it can influence another, sometimes far from the original source.
So if your jaw is sore, tight, clicking, or constantly clenching there may be more to the story than just the jaw itself.
We often see jaw pain connected with:
⢠Neck and shoulder tension
⢠Stress and nervous system overload
⢠Breathing pattern changes
⢠Core dysfunction
⢠Pelvic floor tension or instability
⢠Postural compensation patterns throughout the body
The body is incredibly good at adapting, but over time those adaptations can create pain, restriction, and persistent symptoms in areas that donāt seem obviously related.
Collaboration between a pelvic physiotherapist and an osteopath can be so valuable, combining pelvic health expertise with a whole body approach to movement, posture, and tension patterns.
