Which Flu Jab to choose?

At Gilmours we offer three different Influenza Vaccines, and our pharmacists can help you choose the one that's right for you.

If you are eligible for a funded vaccine, then we offer the standard Influvac Vaccine. It protects for up to 6 months to help get you through the NZ winter.

For those under 50 years, we can offer the Flucelvax Vaccine - a cell-cultured, inactivated influenza vaccine used to help prevent the flu in adults and children aged 6 months and older. Because it is manufactured in cultured mammalian cells (MDCK) rather than embryonated chicken eggs, it is entirely egg-free and often favoured for its efficacy against circulating viral strains, shown to be up to 19.8% more effective in protecting you against flu.
