Not every sniffle needs a cancellation 🤧

Moderate illness, like a cold, runny nose, or mild fever, is usually not a reason to delay childhood immunisations. If you're unsure, give your vaccinator a call before cancelling. Staying on schedule helps keep children protected from preventable diseases 💙

The flu vaccine does more than help protect against flu.

Research shows it may also help reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. If you haven't had your flu vaccination yet, it's not too late. 💙

Getting vaccinated is easy. Talk to your usual GP clinic, Hauora Māori or Pacific health provider, or local pharmacist. You can also book through bookmyvaccine.nz. Sorted!

🚁 A new emergency helicopter will help strengthen urgent and critical care across Hawke’s Bay.

David Warrington, Health New Zealand Group Director Operations Hawkes Bay | Te Matau a Māui joined rescue helicopter staff, sponsors and supporters to officially welcome the new Airbus H145 D3 into service recently.

“When someone is seriously ill or injured, every minute matters. This new helicopter will help emergency and clinical teams reach people quickly and safely across Hawke’s Bay, particularly in rural and remote areas,” David says.

The event also recognised Lowe Corporation for more than 34 years of support and welcomed the Wallace Foundation as the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust’s new principal sponsor.

Thank you to everyone who helps keep this vital service in the air and caring for our community.
