It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Son, Reihania Rakaunui Repia, te mokopuna tuatahi o Moari rāua ko Iramutu Karaitiana, our much-loved Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Koro.

Our hearts are heavy as we gather together to support one another, honour his life, and wrap aroha around our whānau during this time of deep sorrow.

As we prepare to farewell him, we invite our whānau and wider community to stand with us in love, unity, and dignity. Reihania lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and service to others. In Auckland, and home he was known as someone who never hesitated to help — a man who gave freely of his time, his skills, and his heart. Whether it was supporting whānau, uplifting friends, or contributing to his community, he carried a spirit of manaakitanga that touched many lives.

He worked tirelessly, not for recognition, but because caring for others was simply who he was. His kindness, his willingness to step forward, and his steady presence will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

His legacy is one of aroha, service, and quiet strength — a life lived in the true spirit of giving.

‼️UPDATE ‼️

With heavy hearts, we share the sad news that on Friday, 15 May 2026, our beautiful sister Laurette passed away peacefully in Melbourne, Australia.

Just a little update from our whānau.

After a week of navigating logistics, our beloved sister Laurette will finally be making her way home.

On Wednesday 27th May, there will be a private viewing for immediate family only.

At 12:00pm Wednesday, Laurette will travel to Waimarama where she will lay at Taupunga Marae from 12:30pm.

On Friday 29th May, our beautiful sister will be laid to rest.

As a whānau, we are doing everything we can to support our niece and nephews during this heartbreaking time and help bring both Laurette and her children home, so they can be surrounded by the love of family and the place they call home.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has already sent koha, shared kind words, and supported us during this difficult journey.

Your love and generosity mean more than words can express.

Any koha, no matter how big or small, will help assist with bringing Laurette’s children home, easing the financial pressures they currently face, and helping us lay our beautiful sister to rest.

Every contribution is deeply appreciated.

Ngā mihi nui ❤️

This Friday is Pink Shirt Day 🩷

Kaea was ripped from us on Mothers Day and laid to rest the day after Pink Shirt Day.

This is a kaupapa that stands against bullying and has sat deeply with me.

I ask all my friends and whānau to please stand with us. Wear pink this Friday, upload your photos, and use the hashtag 🩷

Kindness costs nothing, but words, gossip, harassment, exclusion, bullying, violence, and silence can leave lifelong scars. Please check on your people, teach your babies kindness, speak up when something isn’t right, and be gentle with those carrying battles you cannot see.

Our boy should still be here.

So in Kaea’s name, we will always stand for more aroha, more compassion, and more courage to stand against bullying.

Supported in many schools and workplaces.
Koha link to tautoko Pink Shirt Day Aotearoa directly. All funds go to anti bullying programmes etc in schools.
