For those who would like to come and pay their respects, you are more than welcome to join us as we gather together to celebrate her life, share our memories, and say our final goodbyes.

Following the service Michelle will be taken for private cremation.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, sent their love, brought kai, or supported our whānau during this difficult time. Your kindness means more than we can say...

Michelle's remains (Ashes) will remain at our home for one year, and on the anniversary of her passing, we will take her back to our roots in Otorohanga to be near our parents and her uncles.

It won't be a dark gloomy mourning affair, 'cos that wasn't Michelle. Just sneakers jeans and tees, that was her; so why change 😅.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Hori Richard Rapana — our last Mohican up Rūnanga.

20.03.1947 – 14.08.2026

Hori took his last breath peacefully, surrounded by his whānau and those who loved him dearly.

Beloved son of Mihi Paul (deceased) & Jack Robin (deceased)

Devoted husband of Shirley.

Loving Dad to Annette, Mihi & Richard (deceased).

A cherished brother, uncle, cousin and Koro to many.

His presence, stories, humour and aroha will forever live on in the hearts of his whānau and all who knew him.

Rest peacefully Hori. Your mahi here is done. Haere atu e te rangatira. 🕊️

Currently lying at home 11 Peterhead Place. We will be leaving at 2pm final ride through Flaxmere, then making our way to Omahu to pay our respects, before continuing on to Rūnanga.

Nehu will be Tuesday 11am then to the urupa.

Following the service, Dad will be taken for a private cremation for immediate whānau only.

Our whānau would like to extend a heartfelt mihi to the staff of the A&E Department and Surgical Ward at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Dad and our whānau.

Last night, Kurt arrived home to 7 Mason Avenue at 7:30pm.

Today, Kurt will lay here at home for a further night before Saturday, where we will journey on to Te Aranga Marae arriving 11am

Poroporoake tonight (Sunday 9 August) 7pm Te Aranga Marae

Monday 10 August will be his day we will say our final goodbyes
Service starts 11am at Te Aranga Marae then we will lay him to rest at Mangaroa Cemetery burial at 1pm 🕊️🤍

Mamo arrived at Te Aranga marae, Flaxmere and will remain there until 11am Tuesday 4th of August where she will then be laid to rest at Mangaroa Cemetery.

Whakamoemiti will be held every night at 6pm with poroporoaki on Monday 6pm.

Her nehu will be at 11am on Tuesday morning.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rona Virginia Hassan.

Sunrise: 31.05.1951
Sunset: 24.07.2026

Daughter of the late Owen Raratu Ferrall and Te Rangimarie Molly Ferrall.

A much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Beautiful and funny with a great love for the God Almighty.

Spent her last days with her youngest daughters and mokos being loved and cherished surrounded by the love of God. She is greatly missed.

Mum will arrive at Houngarea Marae, Pakipaki at 10.30am Sunday the 26th of July, 2026 and will remain until 11.30am Tuesday the 28th of July, 2026.

Service will begin at 10.00am on Tuesday before we take mum for her last farewell hurray to Wharerangi Cemetery in Napier where she will be laid to rest. Hakari will be held back at the marae.

Please bring only love and happiness for this celebration of our beautiful mother.
