Our team at Te Mata: Denise Hardstaff

Denise joins us from her previous role with a freight logistics company, where she managed air and sea freight import and export shipments for New Zealand high street retail brands.

After thirteen years in the fast lane in South Auckland, Denise relocated to a lifestyle block in Central Hawke's Bay, built a house, and now enjoys the slower pace of life in a rural community.

But not everything has slowed down. Denise is currently training for the Hatuma Half Marathon this September and is getting a few pointers from her husband, Richard, her Parkrun friends, her gym trainer, and our own resident marathoner, Emma Alexander!

Our team at Te Mata: Alysia Meijer

Originally from Hawke's Bay, Alysia has recently returned from the Waikato, bringing some formidable business administration skills and plenty of experience, including nine years managing a Hamilton dental practice.

Alysia enjoys working alongside health care professionals and making a positive contribution to people's health and fitness, so Focus Health was a natural transition.

Now settled back in Hawke's Bay, and working part time at our Te Mata clinic, Alysia is enjoying being closer to family, and spending more quality time with her daughter and grandchildren.

Our best wishes to Diane Brogden, who has recently retired after over 20 years of service. Many of you will know Diane as the friendly face on the front desk at our Te Mata clinic. Diane and the team enjoyed one last get-together during a posh High Tea at Mangapapa Lodge. Thanks for all the hard work Diane, and all the best for a well-earned retirement.
