A service to celebrate John’s (Nudda) Life, will be held in the South Taranaki Funeral Services Chapel, 268 High Street Hawera on Friday 17th of July at 11.00am. Followed by a private cremation.

When someone passes away at home, it can feel incredibly overwhelming.

In those first moments, many families worry they need to know exactly what to do, but please know there is no rush to have everything figured out straight away.

Take a moment. Be with your loved one. Call someone close to you if you need support.

If the passing was expected, you can contact their GP, hospice nurse or medical provider. If it was unexpected, sudden, or you are unsure, call 111.

Once the death has been confirmed, you can contact your chosen funeral director. From there, we can talk you through what happens next and help take care of the practical details, one step at a time.

You do not have to do this alone.

From foodbanks and community groups to sports clubs, schools, support services, emergency response teams and everything in between, so much of what makes our region strong happens because people give their time, energy and care.

The support for our breakfast food drive has been incredible, but we still need your help 🙏

This morning, we’re joined by Barbara from the food bank, who has been absolutely blown away by the generosity shown so far.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated. Every box, packet and breakfast item helps support local families who need it most.

The breakfast food drive is gaining momentum, with donations already starting to come in.

This morning, Tracey Blake joins us to help spread the word and encourage more locals and businesses to get behind the cause.

The foodbank is still in real need of breakfast items, and every donation helps support families in our community.

The Foodbank is urgently needing breakfast cereal donations, and we’d love to see our local community and businesses get behind this important cause.

We’re challenging local businesses to donate breakfast favourites like Weet-Bix, oats, Rice Bubbles, Cornflakes and other cereals. If you’re in a position to, they would really appreciate your support. Donations can be dropped into us at South Taranaki Funeral Services.

Every item donated helps put breakfast on the table for local families in need.
