Today we celebrate and honour all the wonderful dads, fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and father figures who are so special to us. 🌿
To all our dear kaumātua, we hope your day is filled with love, laughter, beautiful memories and the company of those who mean the most to you.

🌼 Daffodil Day: Supporting our Rose 🌼

Today, on , we would like to ask our Huntly and Kimihia Home community to come together in support of someone very special to us.

Many of you will remember Rose, our former Activities Coordinator, who brought so much kindess and companionship to our residents. Sadly, Rose is currently battling terminal cancer and, due to her illness, was forced to step away from the role she loved so much.

As she continues this incredibly difficult journey, a Givealittle page has been created to help ease some of the financial pressures she is facing.

Today was a blast from the past! Due to popular demand, we dusted off the cobwebs on our bowling table and enjoyed a fun, friendly battle of bowls in a best-of-five challenge.
It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout, with everyone eager to play, cheer on their teammates, and enjoy some healthy competition. The laughter, teamwork, and enthusiasm made for a great afternoon.
After such a successful event, our bowling challenge has earned a permanent place on our monthly calendar and will now be enjoyed every Thursday. We can't wait for the next game!

Our Residents enjoyed a game of matching coloured cups with the correct coloured balls,Matariki Bingo, and painting. ✨🖌️🎨

These meaningful activities supported cognitive stimulation, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, creativity, and social connection while bringing plenty of smiles 😊
