Thank you to all those that have submitted an application for our first Sportsmed Scholarship. We will announce the winners as soon as possible, but it may take some time to work through all the wonderful applications 🧡

At Sportsmed, we are passionate about keeping people active and we know what sport, recreation and movement mean to our community.

Being active looks different for everyone. It might be elite sport, community sport, coaching, volunteering, giving something new a go, returning from injury, or simply staying active and connected.

Each year, the Sportsmed Scholarship will provide 2 x $1000 scholarships to support people on their journey.

To apply, complete the Google Form linked in the comments. We would love to hear:

• A bit about yourself and how you stay active
• What sport, recreation or being active means to you
• Your goals and aspirations
• How this scholarship would support your journey

The scholarship is open to anyone wanting to stay active and involved, from community participation through to elite sport.

As part of the scholarship, applicants need to be open to sharing their journey with us. This will include introducing our scholarship recipient on social media and sharing updates on how the scholarship has supported them and what they have used the funding towards.

Applications close: June 30th

Today, Anna had the opportunity to run a VALD education session with a group of personal trainers.

While we explored how VALD technology can be used to guide assessment and monitor progress, the biggest focus was on the importance of communication. The best outcomes happen when health professionals and trainers work together, share ideas, and keep the person at the centre of care.

Thanks to everyone who came along, asked thoughtful questions, and contributed to the discussion. We love opportunities to connect with others in our community and continue learning together.
