Kia ora whanau, I have a few māma needing woollen singlets (like the ones below) for pēpi. Our stocks at Salford street are very low so, if anyone can donate some that are no longer being used, please bring them in or text me and I collect them when able. Sara 🙂

My Kete is full after my weekend in Kirikiriroa! New skills of moxibustion, mother warming and press needles, along with some new points to help with emotions, sinking symptoms like haemorrhoids and constipation plus nausea. I’m looking forward to sharing with those who are interested in more natural remedies.

I’m back in Kirikiriroa for my second weekend of Acupressure, Acuneedling and Moxibustion for midwives. I cannot wait to learn some more skills!
So far, I’ve concentrated on labour preparation, now we move on to other pregnancy symptoms.
Looking forward to sharing my new skills with everyone

I do love a good podcast! One of my favourites is ‘The Great Birth Rebellion’…….
If you are starting to think about birth options, labour, how your birth partner can help; there’s an episode there for you (as well as many others!).

Sunday 6pm. Every phone in your house is going to go off.
The annual Emergency Mobile Alert test is on this Sunday, 14 June between 6pm and 7pm. Every capable phone and SIM-connected device in Aotearoa will receive it, including smartwatches.

For a lot of Kiwi whānau, that's right in the middle of bathtime, the final settle, or the exact moment you've just got pēpi down.

Two things worth knowing:

If 6pm is your bedtime window...
Put your phone on flight mode before you start the wind-down. In NZ you can't turn off the alert through your phone settings, so flight mode is the most reliable option. Switch it back on after 7pm.

If you keep a phone hidden for your safety...
NZ Civil Defence has specifically flagged this concern. If you have a device your partner doesn't know about, please turn it completely off before 6pm and leave it off until after 7pm. Powering off (not just flight mode) is the safest option.

If you or someone you know needs support:
Women's Refuge: 0800 733 843 (free, 24/7)
Are You OK?: 0800 456 450 (free, 24/7)

Please share this with every parent in your life 💚
