LOVE TO CLEAN? WE'RE HIRING!
Casual Cleaning & Laundry Assistant

At Switzer, we are committed to providing exceptional care in an environment where compassion and community come together. We support our residents, their families, and our wider community, and we're looking for a Casual Cleaning & Laundry Assistant to join our team and help make a difference every day.

What We're Looking For
• A casual team member available to cover annual leave, sick leave, and other staffing absences
• Previous cleaning experience preferred (healthcare or hospital experience is a bonus)
• Understanding of infection control practices, or willingness to learn
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently
• Warm, respectful communication and a positive attitude

Full Training Provided
• Infection control procedures
• Safe chemical handling
• Cleaning processes and daily task requirements
• Safe practices when working around vulnerable residents

Requirements
• Successfully pass a Police Vetting check
• Successfully pass drug testing requirements
• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand

Last month at our Resident Meeting, our CEO Tina farewelled Jackie from her role as Resident Advocate and warmly welcomed Lee into the position. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jackie for her dedication, hard work, and unwavering advocacy for our residents over the years. Her support, kindness, and commitment have made a real difference in our community. We wish Jackie all the very best and are delighted to welcome Lee as she steps into this important role. 💙

Health Update for Our Switzer Community

We would like to advise our community that we are currently managing an influenza outbreak within Switzer.
Several residents have tested positive and are being cared for, while we help limit the spread of infection.

Our team is closely monitoring the situation and following all recommended infection prevention and control measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our residents, staff, and visitors.

We kindly ask all visitors to:

• Clean or sanitise your hands on arrival and when leaving
• Cover coughs and sneezes
• Please do not visit if you are feeling unwell or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms
• Follow any instructions provided by staff during your visit

Influenza is also currently circulating in the wider community, and these simple precautions can help protect some of our most vulnerable residents.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and cooperation as we work together to keep our Switzer community safe and well.
