A Rosary Service will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church on Sunday 6th September 2026 at 6pm, The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available.

The Requiem Mass for Matija will be celebrated at St Joseph’s Catholic Church on Monday, 7 September 2026 at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.

A much-loved wife of the late Bruce Cochrane. A loved mum to Dave (dec), Pauline, Rose, Denise, Garth and Don.

A treasured sister to Lucy (dec), Bruce, Dorothy (dec), Pat (dec), Meriel (dec), and Trixie, the youngest.

A special Nana to all her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Airdre’s life will be held at Hope Christian Centre (Union Parish), 234 Commerce Street, Kaitaia, on Thursday, 3 September 2026 at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

Passed away suddenly but peacefully in his sleep at home.
A much-loved son of Ljubo and Martha. Brother of the late Evar, Mate, Ivan, Dick, George and Danica. A loved uncle and papa to many, and a loved and treasured friend to Ellen and her family.

A service to celebrate Chris’s life will be held at Geards Funerals, Chapel, 13 Pukepoto Road, Kaitaia, on Friday, 28 August 2026 at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.

Chris will be lying in state at Mate’s home from midday Wednesday, then on Thursday will move to Waimanoni Marae for his final night.

All are welcome to come and pay their respects.

A Bereavement notice on behalf of her friends.

On Tuesday 11th of August, our dear friend Margaret CORBETT passed away peacefully after a short illness.

Our grateful thanks for the love and care given to Margaret during the past 17 months by the Claude Switzer Memorial Home staff. She was privately cremated as per her wishes.

Our intention is to gather in the next week or so to celebrate Margaret's life, to recall her antics, her lively character, her patchwork skills and remember what she meant to us all. If you want to be notified, please contact Geards Funeral Home.
