We’re starting the week with another beautiful clear day here on Kāwhia Moana. ☀️🌊 A perfect reminder that although we’re still in Here-turi-kōkā, spring is not too far away!

A special mihi this week to our Kāwhia kura tamariki and whānau who are heading away to the snow. ❄️🏔️ We wish you all safe travels, lots of fun, plenty of laughter and some wonderful memories together. Enjoy every minute!

And a big ngā mihi to everyone who has been following and enjoying our kaumātua kaupapa. 💚 Our kaumātua are incredibly special to us, and we love being able to share some of their moments with our community.

Today they’re getting creative with Jo, making their very own wheat bags — another chance to come together, have a kōrero, share some laughs and create something useful to take home. 🌿

Living rurally shouldn’t mean going without healthcare when your local medical centre is closed.

Ka Ora Telecare provides people living in or visiting rural communities with access to a Doctor or Nurse by phone or video, including nights, weekends and public holidays. 🩺📱

🍳🔥 KAUMĀTUA KAI WARS! 🔥🍳

Our kaumātua were back in the kitchen for another friendly cook-off — bringing plenty of laughs, teamwork, healthy competition and, of course, some delicious kai! 😋

Who took out the bragging rights this time? 👀🏆
