this week I spent 24 quiet hours with my heart in Glastonbury.
it felt like a checkpoint within my heart, as though the last decade of my life had been quietly leading me here.
I’ve lived on this motherland my whole life and wandered through so much of her, yet somehow I had never quite made it to Glastonbury. It almost feels as though my soul knew there would be a time for it. When I traced my route around the UK, weaving together visits with friends and family, Glastonbury sat so effortlessly along the way and I booked a little cabin without hesitation.
Two weeks later, an astrology reading relayed that clearing my heart chakra is my soul’s greatest work in this lifetime. I mean I could already have guessed that looool but it felt beautifully synchronistic that I’d already chosen and booked a place to sleep upon the earths energetic heart chakra.
those quiet little winks from the universe always remind me of life’s divine timing.
as I walked the steps up to the Tor on my first evening, I found myself reflecting on the many layers of armour ive deconstructed, cried out, been oblivious to and fought to soften over the years. I reflected on how hard and relentless a journey that has felt in my heart at times. The countless moments I’ve fell to my knees, tired of how long the journey seems digging a little deeper for courage and patience each time.
But as I arrived to the Tor on this morning, with the wind blowing through my hair and the land expanding endlessly in every direction, I felt the possibility, the openness and aliveness that met me at the top. It felt like the most divine mirror of my internal state.
Joy poured through my eyes, a quiet celebration just for me, for only I know the miles i have walked to feel this free, to have carved this much softness and space for love to fill my heart.
I placed my hands on the earth and smiled, for only she and I know what it has taken to arrive this deeply at home in my heart.
