🎉 💜 International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 💜 🎉
📅 3 December | 🌏 Palmerston North
Kia ora koutou! This IDoPwD, we’re not just celebrating—we’re amplifying.
Right here in Palmy, disabled people are driving change, shaping futures, and building systems that work for everyone. This year’s theme calls us to honour that leadership and commit to a future that’s inclusive, sustainable, and proudly led by lived experience.
This page will be your hub for updates, inspiration, and action. Whether you’re a disabled person, whānau, ally, or curious community member—there’s a place for you here.
Let’s make visibility powerful. Let’s make inclusion real.
Let’s enable good lives, together. 💜

Last Thursday at the Taradale Club Debbie had the pleasure of joining forces with Julie from Multiple Sclerosis Hawke’s Bay to host an Expo — and what a great morning it was!
A big thank you to the wonderful Lesley from Easie Living, who gave an informative presentation on Falls Prevention and showcased a range of helpful equipment and gadgets designed to make daily life a little easier.
Lesley also supports people with their Lotteries grant applications and shared information for those applying for larger pieces of equipment.
The event was a great mix of information, socialising, and shopping! The Taradale Club was the perfect venue with its accessible facilities, friendly staff, and a delicious lunch for those who stayed on to relax and connect.
Thanks to everyone who came along and made the day so enjoyable! 💙
