I love eating plants BTW... and I think a Vegan diet can be a great option for many. However, we always need to adjust the Rx to the individual and their health conditions... not to mention their psychosocial factors.

Despite the marketing buzz, pentadecanoic acid (C15:0) is not an essential fatty acid. 🙅🏽‍♂️
It might plausibly be considered one in the future IF it can be proven that we don't create enough within the body to avoid a universally accepted deficiency syndrome.
But at this stage, the 'essential' moniker is more marketing than science. 💸

"There is no essential carbohydrate" argument isn't the 'gotcha' that Keto zealots think....
Carbohydrates are not an essential nutrient...
However, just because something isn't essential doesn't mean it lacks utility.
People can thrive on low-carb, high-carb, and anything in between. 🤷🏽‍♂️
