These photos are hard to post, but they’re part of the journey. Preparation asks for discipline, sacrifice, patience, and a level of honesty that isn’t always comfortable. There’s nowhere to hide in bodybuilding — only the work, the consistency, and the willingness to keep showing up even when it’s demanding mentally and physically.
These photos are not easy for me to share. I’m a pretty private person, and putting my body on display like this feels vulnerable. But this is my real journey, with all the struggle, doubt, discipline, and small wins that come with preparing for bodybuilding.
I’m posting this not to show off, but to be honest about what commitment looks like.
As a Chiropractor and Health and Wellness Coach, I ask my patients and clients to invest in themselves, to stay consistent, and to believe that change is possible.
These images are me holding myself to the same standard.
There are days I question myself, days I’m tired, and days I feel far from where I want to be. But every time I push through another workout or stick to my plan, I’m reminded that growth often happens quietly, away from the spotlight.
If you’re struggling with your own goals right now, I get it. Progress can feel slow and uncomfortable.
But you’re not alone in that. If sharing these photos helps even one person keep going, then the discomfort is worth it.
I’m now just 30 days out from my first comp. I need to really refine my posing technique and lose another 1-2% of body fat. I’m confidant I’ll be ready.
From a high of 110kg after my very relaxing holiday in Rarotonga last October 😜 to hitting 89.9kgs yesterday. That’s a tick over 20kgs lost.
Yes, I’m proud of myself and I’m so thankful to those around me who are so supportive. My coaches Mel and Matt Rad and of course my wife Kelly for putting up with my constant fatigue, mood swings and being so ‘Hangry’ many times.
I’m reminded and motivated of the quote by Socrates..
“It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”
Thank you for following my journey and for letting me be human in the process.🙏
