I'm excited to be Welcoming Joss Moore to join me at The Osteopaths!
I first met Joss in 2002 as a tutor on the Master of Osteopathy course at Unitec. She was one of the first group of New Zealand trained Osteopaths to qualify in 2003.
17 years later we are excited to be teaming up, a new chapter for Joss working in Matakana and more options and availability for our clients at The Osteopaths.
Joss brings a similar working style of both structural and cranial Osteopathy and works with babies though to seniors.

You can read more about Joss and book in for an appointment online at theosteopaths.co.nz

To avoid disappointment, don't forget to book your pre Christmas appointment before the silly season takes hold!

YAY! LEVEL 2

We will be returning to the new normal on Thursday 14th May.

Under Level 2 we will be following safe practice recommendations set out by the Ministry of Health.

- Screening for COVID-19 symptoms prior to treatment. If you or
any of your close contacts are sick, STAY HOME-GET TESTED.

- Physical distancing practices- Restricting use of waiting
areas- Anyone accompanying you to a treatment is to wait in the
car- Minimizing close contact.

- Infection prevention measures- Hand Hygiene- Practice
cleanliness- PPE where required

Attention must be paid to minimizing any possibility of transmission and to contract tracing details of clients. If your contact details have changed recently. please update these at your next appointment.

Thank you for your patience over the last few weeks, I know for many it has been frustrating not to be able to have treatment during level 3!

I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

COVID-19 Precautions Alert level 3.

Ministry of health has released criteria by which osteopaths can treat patients in need of urgent care in Alert level 3.

Please note, however, the restrictive definition of what ‘urgent care’ means – face-to-face care should still only occur in exceptional circumstances, and Level 3 will not see a return to ‘business as usual’ for Allied Healthcare.

Under Alert Level 3 the Ministry of Health has stated the following criteria for seeing an urgent care patient face-to-face: “Urgent care” for community allied health professionals is defined by the Ministry of Health as:
• a condition which is life or limb threatening
• treatment required to maintain the basic necessities of life
• treatment that cannot be delayed or carried out remotely without risk of significant harm or permanent and/or significant disability
• treatment which cannot be delivered by a service which is currently operating or by health professionals that are already in contact with the patient.’

If you feel you fall into the 'urgent care' definitions and would like a consultation, this will be initially be by phone for me to ascertain the required information required by Ministry of health and to minimizes face to face time. If your case warrants face to face treatment then this will be arranged in accordance with the health and safety regulations set out by the Ministry.

please contact me at [email protected]

I will be tentatively be taking booking for the week beginning 11 May should move to alert level 2. these can be booked online through the book now link on this page.

Thanks for your patience.

COVID-19 move from level 4 - 3

We are waiting for confirmation from Allied health as to what services we can offer going forward into level 3 with the emphasis being on limiting face to face contact as much as possible.

It is possible we will be able to offer treatment to emergency or acute cases. This will require the use of PPE and added sanitation procedures.

We will keep you posted as we receive more information.

Online booking is currently suspended. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for appointments when we open you can contact us at [email protected]

Stay safe! Ross

23/03/2020

As we are now at Alert Level 3 the osteopaths will be closed from today.
I wish you all a safe and restful few weeks and look forward to seeing you on the other side.

COVID-19 Precautions Alert level 2
We are committed to the safety and continued care of our clients. Following ministry of health guidelines we have implemented increased hygiene and cleaning measures. We ask that on arrival at the clinic you could wash your hands.

Alert Level 2 recommends people with compromised health or over 70 years of age self-isolate. As such we recommend you do not come in for treatment. We will contact you if you already have an appointment booked.

The safety of our staff and clients are our propriety. If you have any cold or flu symptoms please call to reschedule your appointment and contact Healthline for further advice.

If you have arrived from overseas since the 13/3/2020 or are in close contact with someone who has, We are asking you to re-book after your 14 day self isolation period.

This is a rapidly changing situation. We will follow best practice and review the situation on a daily basis.
