Another meaningful group has wrapped up, and my heart is full.

A huge thank you to Nelson Bays Primary Health, funding makes these groups possible.

To Saxton Oval and Nelson City Council for the use of your facilities. These facilities truly help our community thrive.

Seeing each mama strengthen her own mauri and reclaim what truly nurtures her and her whānau is something deeply moving.

To sit amongst women who feel safe enough to share so openly is something I will never take for granted.

Courage and vulnerability are powerful, and being able to walk alongside these women is such a gift.

There is a whole inner world that wakes up when you become a Mum.

If motherhood has brought up overwhelm, old patterns, or emotions you did not expect, you are not alone. "Good Grief I’m a Mum" is an 8 week therapeutic group exploring trauma, attachment, the nervous system, and the stories we carry, all in a gentle, supportive space for mums.

If you have a pēpi, baby, child, or tamariki under 2 (you don’t need to be a first time mum), this free group is for you.

Spaces are limited, so get in quickly to secure your spot.

Kia Ora Koutou

It’s my pleasure to introduce you all to our new Clinical Manager. Melissa Sadd.
During my final two weeks in the role, I will be working alongside her to support a smooth and thorough onboarding process, sharing the key knowledge, processes, and context that guide our mahi with māmā, pēpi and whānau. Our intention is to ensure a steady, well supported transition and maintain the strong connections we hold with your agencies, ensuring continuity and a strong handover so our relationships and mahi with you remain seamless.

Kia Ora Community Partners

I am feeling very grateful, yesterday I concluded the 8 week "Good Grief I'm a Mum Group" in the Tapawera Community. This has been a first for our organisation. It has been a year in the making and was such a privilege to be able to meet the Mum's in their community. Thank you to Rural Mum's Tapawera, always a pleasure and thank you for your trust. Thank you to Nelson Bays Primary Health for your continued funding support to make these groups happen.

I raised my babies in Tapawera until they were in their teens, so it felt like going home in many ways, and was a special journey I took each week.

I am always so humbled to be part of this group, to witness the deep seeing that happens between mums, the shared vulnerability that is offered, and the compassion and empathy that flow so generously. I am in awe of the courage it takes to show up, to trust the process, and to trust each other. And I am continually moved by the way mums begin to see themselves differently by the end of the group. This is a gift that is given to me as their facilitator.

I was very humbled to receive these beautiful lilies and a silky otter gift voucher.

Our Name Has Changed but our Kaupapa Remains the Same

From today the 1st of April, we will be known as
Nelson Tasman Perinatal Support – Charitable Trust

This new name reflects the community we walk alongside and the region we serve, but the heart of our work remains exactly the same. Our Kaupapa of providing safe, compassionate, trauma informed support for mums, pēpi/baby, tamariki/child/ren, and whānau/family is unchanged.

Same team, Same values, Same commitment to holding space for whānau in the perinatal period.

Just a name that better reflects who we are and where we stand.

We are excited for this next chapter and grateful to continue supporting our community under our new name.
