✨ CONTESTANT ANNOUNCEMENT #7 ✨

We’re excited to introduce our seventh contestant for Olive Estate Dancing for a Cause 2027…

Brad Deane! 💃

Hi, I’m Brad, owner and chef at the Grape Escape Café 🍇… yes, that place famous for our cheese scones!

I’m really excited to get out there and raise some funds for Hospice. They are an incredible cause that, at some point, many of us will need in some way.

When I’m not at the café cooking, gardening or doing the maintenance, I’m busy trying to keep up with my two boys, aged 7 and 10. I’m looking forward to them seeing me do something “crazy”, fun and new.

I know I can handle the heat in the kitchen… but can I cook up a storm on the dance floor? Bring it on!

We’re thrilled to have Brad joining our 2027 cast and can’t wait to watch his journey unfold over the coming months.

Please give Brad a warm welcome in the comments below, and don’t forget to check back Thursday as we reveal our next contestant! 💛🖤

✨ CONTESTANT ANNOUNCEMENT #5 ✨

We’re excited to introduce our fifth contestant for Olive Estate Dancing for a Cause 2027…

Kerry Hill! 💃

Hi, I’m Kerry.

I’m the General Manager of Trinder Engineers and Director of the wider Trinder Group. A proud born-and-bred Nelsonian, I started my career on the tools and worked my way into leadership, taking a practical, down-to-earth approach to work and life.

Family and community have always been a big part of my life. After seeing the support Nelson Tasman Hospice provided to my own family, I know just how important their work is. When I was “asked” to take part , although “voluntold” is probably more accurate. I knew it was a challenge worth taking on for such a great cause.

Most people know me from the speedway track, not the dance floor. So, with what I’d describe as three left feet, I’m swapping superstock engines for dancing shoes… and hoping nobody files a safety report!

We’re thrilled to have Kerry joining our 2027 cast and can’t wait to watch his journey unfold over the coming months.

Please give Kerry a warm welcome in the comments below, and don’t forget to check back Thursday as we reveal our next contestant! 💛🖤

A born and bred Nelsonian, by day I work for ANZ, leading a team of Mobile Mortgage Managers across the South Island. After I clock off, I switch to family mode. I’m married to Jeremy and we have three boys at school in Richmond.

I love Dancing for a Cause. It’s a brilliant event and I’m really excited for the opportunity to raise as much money as I can for Hospice. They supported us while caring for Mum through end-of-life cancer care, so the chance to give back like this is once in a lifetime. Bring it on!

We’re thrilled to have Elle joining our 2027 cast and can’t wait to watch her journey unfold over the coming months.

Please give Elle a warm welcome in the comments below, and don’t forget to check back Sunday as we reveal our next contestant! 💛🖤

Tonight we introduce you to the lucky last in our Operations Team -

Hi all , I’m Cameron Banner.
Having been involved with Olive Estate Dancing for a Cause for many years now, I have supported the event in a variety of behind-the-scenes roles. Last year, I stepped into the role of Production & Logistics Manager, taking responsibility for coordinating the many moving parts that bring one of Nelson's biggest fundraising events to life.
From overseeing the move into the Trafalgar Centre and managing pack-in and pack-out, to coordinating staging, lighting, sound, vendors, bars, site operations, and the many logistical elements that make the event possible. I work closely with an incredible team of volunteers, suppliers, sponsors, and local businesses to ensure every aspect of the event comes together seamlessly.
Working in the events industry has given me extensive experience in live production, event logistics, sound, lighting, and audiovisual installations. Away from Dancing for a Cause, I am a Board Member of the Nelson Historic Theatre Trust and serve on the committee of Nelson Musical Theatre. I am a passionate supporter of the performing arts, and enjoy working behind the scenes on local theatre productions and events whenever I get the chance.

This event holds a very strong place in my heart and I feel so grateful to be part of an event that brings people together for such a meaningful cause. I’m often the one behind our social media, helping raise our profile for our event, sponsors & of course Hospice.

Outside of Dancing for a Cause, I’m a Mum, Partner, and work as a Business Partner at BNZ, so life is always full, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
