When your tamariki are due for their immunisations but feeling a bit under the weather, it can be hard to know whether to still come in. The good news is that most mild illnesses don’t require delaying their vaccines, and keeping to the schedule helps protect them from serious diseases.

If your child has a sniffle, a mild cough, or isn’t quite themselves, our Carefirst nursing team can help you decide. Just give us a call and we’ll talk through their symptoms and let you know if it’s okay to go ahead; and if it’s not, we can help you reschedule to a time that’s more suitable.

We were so excited to drop off our Matariki food bank donations this week — and wow, our community really showed up.

Carefirst contributed the full amount we would normally spend on morning teas across our clinics, choosing instead to pass that koha straight on to support local whānau. On top of that, our Carefirst and Skin Clinic Taranaki staff and community added their own generous donations, filling the collection boxes with so many non‑perishable goodies.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed. Your kindness helps make Matariki a time of connection, care, and giving back — exactly what the season is all about ❤️

✨You can help too ✨Whether you’re visiting us for an appointment or simply passing by, feel free to drop non‑perishable food items into reception at any of our clinics. After Matariki, we’ll pass all donations on to our local food banks to support whānau in our community.
