🌷 Women’s Health Week is a chance to pause and check in with how you’re feeling, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Use this week to rest, eat well, move your body, and spend time with the people who matter most.

💜 It’s also a good time to talk about mental health, stress, menstrual health, menopause, and anything else that shapes your everyday wellbeing. And if it’s been a while, book in for your regular or Well Woman’s check with your doctor.

đź’¬ This week is about making your health a priority.

🎯Thinking about heading overseas soon? Don’t forget to tick off your travel vaccines before you set off. A quick check‑in with your GP helps keep you and your family safe while you're away.

✅It’s best to chat with your GP around three months before you fly. Some vaccines take a little time to work, so planning ahead means you can enjoy your trip feeling confident and well‑prepared.

👉Book your appointment and we’ll help you get travel‑ready. Learn more about travel vaccines here: https://healthify.nz/medicines-a-z/v/vaccinations-international-travel

🎯Chronic hepatitis can quietly cause long‑term liver damage and is a major driver of liver cancer around the world. For World Hepatitis Day 2026, the theme “Hepatitis: Let’s break it down” encourages all of us to make testing, treatment, and support easier to access.

💙Viral hepatitis is still one of the most preventable causes of serious illness. As part of your regular health check, it’s worth making sure your liver health is up to date. Learn the facts and talk to your healthcare provider about early testing and treatment.

👉Early action can make a real difference. To find out more about hepatitis and screening options, visit:

💙 Men’s Health Week is a timely reminder to pause and check in on your health. We see every day how small, consistent habits can make a real difference.

💬 Too many families lose fathers, brothers, and sons to preventable illnesses. Taking action early helps change that. A health check‑up with your GP is a great place to start, and the Men’s Health Survey can give you a quick snapshot of your current routines.

đź’ś Every older person deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported. Elder abuse can take many forms, such as being dismissed, isolated, manipulated, or taken advantage of. Often, it comes from those they trust most, including family, friends, neighbours, or people providing support services.

🌼 Many older adults don’t speak up because of shame or fear. If something doesn’t feel right, or if you notice unusual behaviour, reaching out can make a real difference. You’re not alone, and help is available.

🔗 Let’s take a moment this World Elder Abuse Awareness Day to learn more about elder abuse and where to seek help:

💚 This June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re encouraging our community to get to know the symptoms, start conversations that could save lives, and take action earlier. Statistics show bowel cancer is curable in over 90% of cases when it’s found early. Now is a good reminder to check in with yourself and start those important conversations.

💬 If you’re unsure about symptoms or just want to check in, there’s a quick 2‑minute symptom checker that can help you understand what to look out for and prepare you for your doctor’s appointment.

🩺 The National Bowel Screening Programme is also available for eligible men and women aged 58 to 74, offering free screening to help catch bowel cancer early.
