🦋MOTHERING DAY LOVE & MUSING🦋*no AI was used in the creation of this post & art is by me. So excuse me for bad grammar and spelling, I’m an ND woman who scraped through school in the 80s & 90s barely making it out alive 🤣🙌🏻
💚I would change this quote to read ‘deciding to LOVE a child is momentous’ why? Well ‘mothers’ appear in many forms and not all mothers ‘birthed’ a child.
🦋So I’d like to take a moment to honour all of the women in the world who truly mother others in the purest sense of the word. Who hold space for, support, nurture & care for others. Who keep others safe, respect them as individuals & in some cases teach them how to reparent themselves. I see you, thank you our world needs you 🙏🏻
💚 To the mothers of neurodivergent children, children with high sensitivities, disabilities, anxieties and other conditions that require extreme amounts of energy to navigate and moments of deep heartache and epic joy, I see you, I am you, thank you for all you do. 🙏🏻
🦋 Teachers, social workers, foster parents, therapists, nurses, youth group leaders, and all the other roles where the mother archetype shows up - I see you, thank you - we need you 🙏🏻
💚Allot of adults walk through this world with wounded children inside. Parts of themselves that for one reason or another felt unseen or unloved. Some carrying trauma of varying degrees. When we are kind to one another, when we release judgment, hold space for friendships and support others where we can, we are in that moment mothering. I feel deeply that the world right now needs the matriarch 💚
🦋For myself, this quote I found after the birth of my eldest daughter 20 years ago, my heart does beat outside my chest - I was graced with 4 children, I’ll only graduate from the university of motherhood when I leave this earth plane! In my work outside of mothering I often feel that I’m still ‘mothering’ it’s a deep calling to want to be of service - especially for other women. It is a privilege to do any of these things. 💚🦋🥰
🦋Warmly with love, Melissa J
