✨ Ngā Whetū Mārama Mental Health First Responder Skills Training | Ōpōtiki

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply be there for someone.

If you’re someone friends, whānau, colleagues, or neighbours naturally turn to for a kōrero, this free one-day training is for you.

🌿 Learn how to:
• Recognise the signs that someone may be struggling.
• Have safe, supportive conversations with confidence.
• Help keep people safe and connect them with the right support.

This is a grassroots, community-focused kaupapa. You don’t need any previous experience—just a willingness to learn and support the people around you.

📅 Choose one of the following dates:

Thank you to everyone who shared their whakaaro with us at the Up the Roll Night Market.

We believe in closing the loop by sharing back what we heard. Transparency and community voice are important to us, and your feedback helps guide how we design and deliver services that truly meet the needs of our whānau.

Thank you for helping us grow, learn, and serve our community better 🫶🏽

Matariki is a time to celebrate the present, remember those who have gone before us, and look ahead with hope and intention for the year to come.

As you gather with your whānau, take a moment to reflect on what you’re grateful for, honour the memories of loved ones, and ask yourself: What are you looking forward to in the coming year?

However you choose to celebrate Matariki, may it be filled with connection, reflection, and aroha.

From all of us at Kō Kollective Trust, we wish you a safe, joyful, and love-filled Matariki long weekend. Mānawatia a Matariki. ✨
