Physio isn't always about finding something that's “wrong” and fixing it.

Sometimes it's about helping you understand what's going on, giving you confidence to move again, or figuring out how to keep doing the things you enjoy while your body recovers.

It might mean building strength, changing how you approach an activity, learning how to manage a flare-up, or simply understanding that your body is more capable than you thought.

Our goal isn't to keep you dependent on treatment.

It's to give you the knowledge, confidence and tools to manage your body and get back to doing what matters to you. 💚

Sore after a workout and wondering if you've overdone it? 👀

It's easy to assume that feeling sore means something has gone wrong, especially if you're trying to get stronger or return to exercise after an injury.

But some soreness can simply be your body adapting to a new or increased level of activity.

The important part is learning to recognise the difference between normal post-exercise soreness and symptoms that might mean you need to adjust what you're doing.

You don't need to avoid all discomfort to make progress, you just need to find the right level of challenge for where your body is at. 💪

We've been busy setting up our third treatment room at Better Bodies Physiotherapy! 🎉

Having another room means more space for our growing team and, most importantly, more availability for our patients.

It's been exciting watching Better Bodies grow, and we can't wait to put the new room to good use.

Meet the team behind Better Bodies 👋

We’re a small team, but we’re all about making physiotherapy feel personal, practical and tailored to the person in front of us.

Whether you’re dealing with an injury, managing ongoing pain, or just wanting to get back to doing the things you enjoy, our goal is the same- to help you understand what’s going on and give you the tools to move forward.

We’re pretty lucky to enjoy what we do, and even luckier to work with such a great bunch of people every week.

If you’re new around here, welcome — we’re glad you’re here!

Pain and movement aren’t always as black and white as we think.

Sometimes, waiting until you feel completely pain-free before moving again can actually keep you stuck for longer.

That doesn’t mean you should push through everything or ignore pain. It means finding the right level of movement for where you’re at — and gradually building from there.

Your body doesn’t always need complete rest. Sometimes it needs the right amount of movement, at the right time.

Ever wondered why your physio gives you that particular exercise? 👀

There’s usually more thought behind it than you might realise.

The goal isn't simply to give you something to do between appointments — it’s about using movement and exercise as part of your recovery.

Swipe through to see some of the reasons why. ➡️

And remember, your exercises might change as you improve. What you need at the start of rehab isn't necessarily what you'll need at the end.

Exercise is a big part of what we do as physios 💪

It's not about giving everyone the same list of exercises and sending them on their way.

The exercises we choose should have a purpose. Whether that's improving strength, mobility, balance, control or building your confidence to get back to the things you enjoy.

And just like hands on treatment, the right exercise depends on the person in front of us.

Your exercises should be specific to you, your goals and where you're at in your recovery.

Physiotherapy is about more than just treating the sore spot.

Sometimes hands-on treatment is helpful. Sometimes exercise is the most important part. Sometimes it's education, advice, or a combination of all three.

There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to physio, the goal is to work out what you need and adjust the plan as you progress.

And yes… we'll be talking more about the exercise side of things next 👀

A closer look at one part of physiotherapy: manual therapy. 🙌

Hands-on treatment can be a great tool to help reduce pain and improve movement, but the best results usually come from combining it with the right exercises, advice and rehabilitation plan.

Every person is different, which means every treatment plan should be too.
