Funeral home, crematorium, and generally all round cool people. We are a locally owned family run funeral home, crematorium and monumental masons.

Situated in Palmerston North, Beauchamp Chapel can hold small and large funerals seating 200 plus and provides a reception lounge for refreshments. The funeral home on John F Kennedy Drive was built in 2004 and designed by local architect David Chapple. Its modern design allows us to offer our families the most up to date technology, including webcasting all over the world. Beauchamp Funeral Home

has been in the Feilding community for 25 years and now offers the choice of a wonderful new chapel, or a traditional homestead for smaller funerals. The architecturally designed contemporary chapel offers a serene setting with high ceilings and warm American oak joinery. It seats 170, with 40 more on a mezzanine level, plus standing room, a refreshment lounge and after-hours viewing room. There’s the latest in video recording as well as webcast capability, nationally and overseas. For funerals for up to 40, the ‘Feilding House’ chapel, built in 1926, offers 1920s character, on-site catering and restful private garden with mature trees. The Cobham Chapel, located at 18 Morris St, Marton, has a modern yet warm country-feel. The chapel will accommodate more than 150 people and includes all the latest audio visual technology as well as a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. The beautiful work on the total transformation is testament to the many local contractors and suppliers involved.

We recently said farewell to Dale as she begins a well-earned retirement.

After 20 years in the funeral profession, (more than 11 years of which with the Beauchamp family) Dale is closing an important chapter and starting an exciting new one.

Thank you Dale for your years of dedication, friendship and the difference you've made. We wish you all the very best for your retirement and hope it's filled with good health, new adventures and plenty of time doing the things you love 💜

Matariki reminds us to pause, reflect, and honour those who have gone before us. It is a time to remember the people who shaped our lives, celebrate the connections we still hold close, and look forward with hope to the year ahead.

As funeral directors, we see every day how important it is to keep the memories of our loved ones alive. Those memories are shared through stories, traditions, and the moments we spend together as whānau.

To celebrate Matariki, the Marsden kids spent time baking cookies and sharing what Matariki means to them. It's a simple reminder that remembrance begins with conversation and that even the smallest traditions can create lasting memories.

✈️🌏 From Manawatu to Hong Kong!

Emily and Anthony were proud to join fellow members of NZIFH — a group of like-minded independent funeral directors from around New Zealand — at the 2026 Asia Funeral Expo.

This international gathering provided an opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the globe, explore new ideas and innovations within the funeral profession, and reflect on how we can continue to provide the very best care for our families and communities.

One of our members, Andrew Malcolm represented New Zealand on the international stage, sharing insights into our unique approach to funeral care and the values that underpin the profession here at home.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and bring fresh inspiration back to Beauchamp Funeral Home.

The story continues...

Peter and Julie left behind everything they knew and took a huge leap of faith when they moved to Marton and purchased the Cobham Funeral Home. They were warmly welcomed by the local community, and it soon became the perfect place to raise their young family, surrounded by support, friendship, and a strong sense of belonging.

Through hard work, dedication, and determination, they built the business and earned the trust of local families. Their efforts laid the foundations for the family-owned funeral home that continues to serve and support the community today.

Where did it all start?

The Beauchamp family weren’t always locals - they were Wellingtonians once upon a time.

As a young, long-haired lad, convinced funeral directors drove nice cars and carried their money home in sacks, Peter began his funeral directing career having never even seen a dead body before. The industry was quite different back then, and Peter could see there was room to do things differently, to bring more care, connection, and heart to the profession.

So, with a vision for the future and a family soon on the way, the young couple, Peter & Julie, packed up sticks and moved to the Marton. What started as a leap of faith has since grown into what is now a proud, locally run family business serving the Manawatū community for the last 45 years.

Last Sunday was an incredible day celebrating Mother’s Day, our community and connection, at our Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon event! 🩷

A huge thank you to everyone who came along dressed in pink, embraced the spirit of the day, and helped make the event such a fun, warm, and meaningful success. From the laughter and games to the creative cake decorating, conversations, and shared stories, the room was absolutely filled with aroha and support for an important cause.

A special acknowledgement to the generosity of our business community, and to the caterers, florist, guest speaker, and auctioneer who so generously gave their time and energy. Together, we raised an incredible $5,300.90 for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ awareness and support.

Every dollar raised helps support those affected by breast cancer throughout Aotearoa/New Zealand. To those who donated prizes, the raffle table was so well supported that we completely sold out of tickets, which was amazing to see!

Events like this are such a beautiful reminder of the power of community, and without your support, they would not be possible. Thank you all for making it such a memorable Beauchamps Pink Ribbon High Tea.

As funeral directors, we know Mother’s Day can carry an added layer of emotion. Days like today can bring comfort, reflection, sadness, gratitude, or all of these at once.

Today, reminds us to pause and reflect on motherhood and all that mothers do to enrich and shape our lives. For some, it can be a difficult day, especially for those who have lost their mums or children, or who long to become mothers themselves.

For others, it is a time of celebration and gratitude. It can also be an opportunity to honour the many women who nurture, guide, support and love us throughout our lives, our grandmothers, aunties, mothers-in-law, sisters, friends, and chosen family who step into mothering roles in their own unique ways.
