During exercise time recently, one of the MKC staff incorporated her hobby of bellydance into the activity and danced with Isis Wings on and the attendees followed along whilst singing. The exercises often become a mid-morning party with attendees getting up and dancing and singing.

There is online support groups for people for whānau, supporters, partners, and adult children of people living with Younger Onset Dementia.

“I naively thought things would get easier once my husband went into care, but the adjustments were far greater than I expected.”

“The YODAT online group provided the support I needed to navigate the complexities of moving my husband into care, shared decision-making, and transitioning levels of care.”

💜 Support doesn’t stop when someone moves into care.

For many families and supporters, that transition can bring a whole new layer of emotions, decisions, grief, and uncertainty.

Sometimes what helps most is talking with others who have walked the same road.

YODAT’s free online support groups are available nationwide for whānau, supporters, partners, and adult children of people living with Younger Onset Dementia.
