I enjoyed this Optometrist Education Evening. Meeting optometrists from Palmerston North and the broader Manawatu region who provide excellent ophthalmic care to their communities was a pleasure. It was also great to reconnect with both old and new colleagues. I presented an update on cataract surgery, focusing on recent advances in intraocular lens technology, including presbyopia-correcting lenses and new developments in accommodating lenses. Thank you, Siok Khim Taylor, for organising such a wonderful event.
