What a day!
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better turnout for our Open Day.
It was so great to see so many people come through our doors, have a look behind the scenes, meet the team, ask questions and get a better understanding of what actually happens within a funeral home.
We’ve always believed that what we do shouldn’t be something people are afraid to ask about or curious about, so being able to open our doors and share a little more of our world with you was pretty special.
And then there was The Stories the Dead Tell with Dr Cynric Temple-Camp, what an incredible turnout! Cynric had everyone captivated, and we feel very lucky to have had him spend the afternoon with us sharing his stories, knowledge and experiences.
A massive thank you as well to everyone who grabbed a sausage and donated to Arohanui Hospice. Every dollar donated will be matched by Lychway, and we’ll share the final amount raised soon.
A special thank you also to the lovely Sands ladies who joined us on the day. We really appreciated you being there, chatting with people and sharing the important support Sands provides to families within our community.
To everyone who came along, supported us, had a chat, asked a question or simply popped in for a look, thank you. The support we felt from our community was pretty amazing.
And finally, a big thank you to our Lychway team and everyone who helped behind the scenes to make the day happen. There was a lot of work that went into it, and seeing Saturday come together the way it did made it all worthwhile.
We’re incredibly proud of how the day went and very grateful to everyone who was part of it.
