You eat pretty healthy… so why do you still feel exhausted?

Eating well is important, but sometimes fatigue isn't simply about whether your diet is “healthy.”

Here are a few things I might look at:

*Could your iron be low?*
Iron deficiency is particularly common in women and can contribute to fatigue, brain fog, poor concentration and feeling generally flat. And it's not only about how much iron you're eating, digestion and absorption matter too. Stomach acid, for example, plays a role in making iron available for absorption.

*Are you actually getting enough sleep?*
Sleep isn't wasted time. It's when your body does an enormous amount of repair and regulation. Melatonin, the hormone involved in our sleep-wake cycle, also has powerful antioxidant properties.

*Are you hydrated?*
Even mild dehydration can leave you feeling tired, headachy and less able to concentrate.

So if you're sitting at your desk at 3pm wondering why you could happily crawl underneath it for a nap… 😂 it might be worth looking at the bigger picture.

Because eating “healthy” doesn't automatically mean your body is getting everything it needs.

And that's exactly why I don't use a one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition.

If you're tired of feeling tired, get in touch and we can look at what's actually going on for you.

We hear a lot about “gut health”, but your gut microbiome is doing far more than simply helping you digest your food. 🌿

The trillions of microorganisms living in your gut interact with your immune system, metabolism and digestion, and produce compounds involved in communication along the gut–brain axis.

And what you eat helps shape the environment they live in.

Different fibres, polyphenols and phytochemicals found in plant foods provide different substrates for your gut microbes, which is one reason I encourage variety, rather than obsessing over one particular “superfood.”

You don't need to suddenly eat perfectly or completely overhaul your diet.

Start small. Add a different vegetable to dinner. Try a new bean or lentil. Throw some herbs, berries, nuts or seeds into something you're already eating.

Your gut doesn't need perfection. It needs nourishment and variety.

And if your gut has been giving you signs that something isn't quite right; bloating, discomfort, irregular digestion or simply not feeling your best, I can help you look at the bigger picture and work out what your body needs.

How long have you been putting up with symptoms because you’ve started thinking they’re just “normal”?

Bloating, discomfort after meals, sluggish digestion… when something has been happening for years, it can be easy to just live with it.

I loved this feedback because we didn’t use a crazy diet or unrealistic rules. We looked at the bigger picture and made realistic, personalised changes that worked for James and his lifestyle.

And within weeks, he was noticing a difference. 🤍

Your “normal” doesn’t always have to stay your normal.

If your gut has been trying to get your attention, perhaps it’s time to listen.

📩 Message me or email [email protected] to chat about an appointment.

We often think about food in terms of calories, weight, or “being good”…

But your body is working on something far more complex.

Every meal is biochemical information,
influencing your metabolism, hormones, and inflammation.

Over time, these signals either support your health…
or slowly work against it.

The good news?

Small, consistent changes can have a powerful impact
and you can start shaping a healthier future today 🤍
