Here is another dressing aid to help with make it easier to stay warm, dry and active this winter.

🧥Dressing Stick👖

Bulky winter layers like heavy coats and trousers can make getting dressed a painful chore if you have limited reach, arthritis, or mobility challenges.

A dressing stick makes it easier to get dressed by helping you to push and pull clothing on and off. It helps you manage winter wear without bending, twisting, or straining. Dressing sticks are particularly popular with those who have limited mobility, or the use of only one hand.

Dressing sticks have a large C hook at one end and a specially designed push/pull hook at the other.

🧥 Swing Heavy Jackets with Ease
Don’t struggle to reach behind your back. Put one arm in its sleeve, then use the handy C-hook to grab the collar and pull the rest of the coat around your shoulders.

👖 Pull Up Thick Trousers Safely
Hook the push-pull end into your belt loops or waistband. You can easily guide clothing up your legs while staying safely seated.

Today we continue with another super useful dressing aid to help you keep warm, dry and active this winter.

🧥Button Hook and Zipper Pull 👖

This easy to use device makes getting dressed easier by securing buttons and fastening zips. It is ideal for people who have limited mobility or the use of only one hand.

Using the Button Hook
• Insert the wire loop: Push the wire loop through the buttonhole from the outside to the inside.
• Catch the button: Place the wire loop over the button so it surrounds it.
• Pull through: Twist or slide the button through the narrow part of the loop, then pull the tool and the button back through the hole

Using the Zipper Pull
• Hook the zipper: Insert the metal hook on the opposite end through the small hole or ring on the zipper tab.
• Pull to zip: Hold the hook securely and pull the zipper up or down smoothly.

👞Elastic Shoelaces👞

Elastic shoelaces turn your favourite lace-up shoes into slip-ons, they eliminate the need to bend to put your shoes on.
As they never have to be tied, they remove the need for complex finger movements, very helpful in winter when hands can be cold and less dexterous.
They also stretch to accommodate thicker winter socks or feet that swell during the day.

Welcome back to our series on staying warm, dry and active!

When you live with limited mobility, poor circulation, or conditions like arthritis, the cold can really settle into your joints. But piling on heavy, bulky layers can make moving around feel like an uphill battle. The secret to staying warm without the weight?

Possum Merino Accessories 🐑

Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing some WellAble products that can help you stay warm, dry and active this winter.

🧦Sock Aids🧦

If bending down to reach your feet is a struggle—whether due to arthritis, limited mobility, or back pain—a Sock Aid can be a game-changer.

How they work:
Bunch your sock up and slide it onto the plastic shell.
Drop the tool to the floor while holding the long straps.
Slip your foot in, wiggle your foot and pull the straps up.
Your sock glides right on, with no bending required!
