🌿 NMHNZ Member Spotlight: Zoe Hunt from

Zoe is a Clinical Nutritionist, Pharmacist, Naturopath and Medical Herbalist. She takes a holistic approach to supporting clients of all ages, from babies through to the elderly, with a special interest in family health. Zoe is particularly passionate about helping with skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and acne, as well as digestive issues, allergies and asthma.

✹Q&A with Zoe:

1. What inspired you to focus on the type of work you do today?

My son’s eczema as a baby sparked my passion for treating chronic skin conditions. Now, nothing beats seeing the results we can achieve, knowing we’re not just healing their skin, but setting children up for a truly healthy future.

2. What’s one thing you wish more people understood about naturopathy?

That it’s scientific, evidence-based natural medicine that just hasn’t reached mainstream practice yet. Naturopaths have been championing gut health for decades, and now it’s the hottest topic in research; we’ve always been ahead of the curve!

3. What’s something you’re currently learning or exploring in your practice?

I’ve just completed Dr. Brad Leech’s Paediatric Microbiome mentoring programme and have just started Dawn Whitten’s Natural Early Life Health course, diving deeper into the preventative side of atopic conditions and more.

4. What’s your go-to comfort meal?
A proper roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, gravy, and all the roasted veges. The full works, no shortcuts!

5. What helps you reset after a busy week?

Cliche, but getting outside for a walk. Bonus if the air is crisp and the sun is shining - just how it is at this time of year.

When something like this happens to a member of our community, we need to support them. In sharing this with you all we hope to create awareness of how quickly things can change.
Just a couple of weeks ago Corin presented at our annual conference. He is a wonderful presenter and extremely knowledgable. He is very much about supporting the growers through his business, Seleno Health, and provides an amazing amount of resources for free.
Please support him and his wife, Sally, as the recover & re-group from this appalling incident.
Their Cacao is amazing and we will hopefully see them at our conference next year with a Cacao Station!
Thanks Corin for your ouitreach and all that you do.

🌿 NMHNZ Member Spotlight: Coryn Smith

Coryn is a registered naturopath with NMHNZ. With a special focus in women’s hormonal health, she combines naturopathy, herbal medicine, and somatic practices like Qigong to help women restore balance, boost vitality, and feel empowered in their wellbeing.

✹ Q&A with Coryn:

1. What inspired you to become a naturopath?
At 21, I experienced chronic fatigue and found little support through the medical system. Working with a naturopath introduced me to meditation and sparked a deep passion for the body’s innate ability to heal.

2. What areas of health do you most enjoy supporting clients with?
I’m passionate about supporting women’s health, especially through perimenopause, weaving together metabolic health, nervous system regulation, and somatic integration. I also guide women to reconnect with their cyclical rhythms, creating deeper self-trust and transformation

3. What’s one piece of health advice you wish everyone knew?
Health isn’t about perfection — it’s about connection. When you learn to listen to your body instead of outside noise, you can find a more grounded and sustainable balance.

4. Favourite healthy snack?
Edamame with olive oil and a pinch of sea salt — simple, nourishing, and satisfying.

5. What are you currently reading or listening to?
I’m currently listening to Tuning the Human Biofield by Eileen Day McKusick, exploring the connection between energy, the body, and healing.
