An invitation to gently re-connect with yourself
Our bodies often carry the effects of trauma long after the events themselves have passed. Trauma Sensitive Yoga offers a self-paced, evidence-based way to support people experiencing the impacts of trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, grief or feeling disconnected from themselves.
Our next 8-week Trauma Sensitive Yoga series begins soon:
In person - Cambridge (for women)
Fridays, 11.00am-12.00pm starting 31 July
Online (for any gender)
Tuesdays, 7.00-8:00pm starting 28 July
or
Thursdays, 12.30-1.30pm starting 30 July
These classes are fully funded by ACC if you have an approved Sensitive Claim. And if not, you're also very welcome to join - self-funded option for anyone seeking a safe, compassionate space where choice and self-kindness are at the heart of every session.
Every practice offers invitations to notice your body in the present moment and move, breathe and rest in ways that feel supportive for you, with no requirement to share your story.
The groups are facilitated by Erin Fairgray, trauma-informed yoga teacher and Dr Vanessa Beavan, clinical psychologist. We open the space 15 minutes before and after each session for anyone who would like the opportunity for social connection, co-regulation or quiet integration.
Feel free to send me, Erin, a private message, or email: [email protected] with any questions or to join us this term or next. And if you know anyone who could benefit from this, please share, thank you.
