I continue to welcome new clients each week. I love learning their stories along with how I can support them. Navigating the first 6 weeks of newborn life has its challenges. It’s also so rewarding.

Anywho …….. some mid year updates

1. Bulk billing - there’s been a government level change around consent for bulk billing claims. Basically now I need to have your consent to bulk bill you at EVERY appointment. Not just the one off consent that’s gained during our first appointment.

Thankfully the software I use has already implemented this change so I can send you a SMS to consent to the bulk bill. It came into effect today. So everyone I see this week - thank you in advance for being my testing crew on this 😜

2. Antenatal education - I’ll post the details of this separately but it’s coming

I’ll be alternating the days/times so there’s a class available for everyone - Full day weekend blocks then shorter evening blocks.

I’m not the best at keeping up with socials but you can always rely on me doing the work behind the scenes.

Here’s a current updates on the goings on ………

I’ve opened up some more availability for my postnatal care due to demand - as a reminder for those who might be new to the page, this is bulk billed, in home (your home), quality and personalised midwifery care by me. I’m your experienced and passionate local midwife. No referral needed but I welcome them if you have one. As often as you need me.

TO BOOK - JUST MESSAGE ME and I’ll be seeing you in no time. Evenings and weekends included if that’s what works for you and your family.

Calmbirth Education - Official classes are launching soon. These will be presented as both group sessions and private classes so you can choose what’s right for you.

Lastly to comment on the photo - a personal glimpse at my first born child. I have been so blessed to have her as my inspiration to always be a better human. She made me a mother for the first time. She was the inspiration to pursue my career as a midwife. We’ll be blowing out 13 candles on her cake next month. 13?!

My biggest supporter who reminds me after the long days that women and their families need great midwives in their corner. We’re lucky on the Gold Coast to be in the company of some fabulous midwives.

So it’s a cheers to my first. I will never forget her newborn snuggles and when she arrived in a hurry, mid snow storm in the night 😅
