Today marks the end of an incredible chapter for the our community. After 35 years of dedicated service, today is Dr Verne Smith’s final day at the practice. Alongside him, we also farewell Di, whose years as Practice Manager have helped support and care for so many people in our community.

Together, Verne and Di have been a constant presence through generations of Maniototo families — offering care, guidance, kindness, and unwavering commitment to the people of our region. Their contribution to this community is immense, and they will be greatly missed.

We thank them both sincerely for everything they have done over the past 35 years and wish them all the very best for the next chapter ahead.
