Men’s health matters! This October, we’re offering free 30-minute nurse appointments for enrolled men aged 40+, or 35+ for Māori, Pacific and South East Asian men.

Your check may include:
- Blood pressure
- Cardiovascular risk assessment
- Family health history
- Blood tests, where appropriate

Taking time to check in on your health can help identify potential risks early.

To get behind the kaupapa of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team at The Doctors Waimauku and Huapai in West Auckland have prepared something special for their patients. 🩷🩷🩷

For the month of October, all female patients aged 18 years and over who attend the clinic will go in the draw to win one of two fabulous baskets, each valued at $200. They’re packed with goodies and treats, including items from Cancer Society.

Today marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗

Set aside 15 minutes for your breast health. If you’re due for a mammogram, book yours today. When breast cancer is detected early through mammography, women have a 95% chance of surviving for 10 years or longer.

Free mammograms are available for eligible women aged 45–69. And if you're noticing a change, lump or something that doesn’t feel right? Talk to your healthcare provider and get checked. 15 minutes. Make it count.

Some Changes: New PHO!

From the 1st of July, our practice changed its Primary Health Organisation (PHO) to Community Care PHO! Following its acquisition by Green Cross Health, we’ve also become part of Tend Health Ltd, an NZ-owned healthcare provider. 🌿

There is no change to the care you receive or how you access our services. You’ll continue to see the same trusted team and high-quality care.

Did you know 1 in 3 New Zealanders will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime?

Detecting cancer early can make treatment more effective and improve outcomes. Though many symptoms aren't caused by cancer, it's always worth getting them checked.

📢📣Great news! Flu vaccines are now FREE for children aged 6 months to under 5 years.👶🏻👦🏻👧🏻Children under 5 across Aotearoa are experiencing some of the highest rates of flu-related hospitalisation and severe illness. Vaccination can help protect your little ones from serious illness.

🛡️🛡️It is not too late to get vaccinated. The flu season started later than usual and is expected to continue.

Free flu vaccines are also available for:

- People aged 65+
