🌿 Where are they now? Meet Anahera

Last year, Anahera Teinakore-Curtis was a recipient of the Ngaroma (Mala) Grant Memorial Scholarship.

We recently caught up with Anahera to hear about her journey since receiving the scholarship, where she is now, and where she hopes her mahi will take her in the future.

For Anahera, her study is about much more than gaining a qualification. Her aspirations are grounded in whānau, whakapapa and hauora, with a desire to contribute back to our people through counselling and mental health.

Her journey is a great example of what the Mala Grant Scholarship is about: supporting the next generation of Māori who want to make a difference in the health and social services sector.

🎥 Watch Anahera’s kōrero and hear about her journey.

And if you’re a Māori undergraduate studying towards a career in health, social services, or a related field, this could be you.

If you’ve been thinking about applying, tono mai. Put your name forward.

🎓 Applications for the Ngaroma (Mala) Grant Memorial Scholarship are open now.

Te Arawa Whānau Ora is proud to open applications for the Ngaroma (Mala) Grant Memorial Scholarship.

🌱 Your Voice. Our Future.

The best decisions aren't made behind closed doors.

They're made by listening to the people who are part of the journey.

As we look towards the future, we're taking time to listen to our community and understand what matters most.
What are we doing well?

What opportunities should we be exploring?
What would success look like for you?
Your feedback will help shape our future direction and ensure the voices of our community are reflected in what comes next.

⏱️ The survey takes around 5 minutes to complete.
