If someone needs help with banking, it can be hard to know where to begin.

A good first step is to ask your bank what safe support options are available. This may help avoid informal arrangements, like sharing passwords or handing over cards, which can create risk.

You may also want to speak with a lawyer about Enduring Powers of Attorney and how future decisions can be managed safely.

Early planning gives people more time to choose who they trust, and to make sure their wishes are understood.

Banking can become harder when memory, planning or confidence changes.

Talking to your bank early can help you understand what support may be available. You might ask about:
๐Ÿ”น Account alerts
๐Ÿ”น Automatic payments
๐Ÿ”น Trusted contacts
๐Ÿ”น Safer ways for someone to support you
๐Ÿ”น Options that make day-to-day banking easier

You donโ€™t need to make every decision at once.

Dementia North can support you with dementia information and local services as you work through what to consider.

Today's idea is simple: put on a song you loved when you were around 20 years old.

Music has a remarkable way of bringing back memories. A favourite song can spark conversations about friends, dances, road trips, first jobs, or places you haven't thought about in years.

Thereโ€™s something special about hearing a familiar tune and being transported back to another time. You might find yourself singing along, sharing a story, or simply enjoying the memories it brings.

๐ŸŽต What song would be on your playlist?
