A pathway that inspires growth, nurtures independence, and guides us to stand with confidence

Earlier this year, we announced Te Aratu Trust as the winner of our 2026 Free Charity Website Initiative. We’re now excited to share that their new website is live!

Te Aratu Trust is a registered non-profit organisation supporting people living with mental health challenges, as well as those with physical or intellectual disabilities. Their work makes a meaningful difference to the people and whānau they support.

It has been an honour to help bring their new website to life and create an online presence that supports the important work they do.

Once again, thank you to everyone who applied for this year’s initiative. We were genuinely moved by the passion, commitment and community impact shown by every applicant. We’re proud to support organisations doing meaningful work and look forward to continuing this initiative in the years ahead.

📽️🍿🥤
Movie day is next Tuesday, 21st of July for those who put their name down.

Come to Te Aratu Trust as per usual in the morning.

We will go to the movies together in vans.

Moana starts at 10:15AM,
Minions starts at 10AM.

One movie goes longer than the other,
so if need be, we will drop one lot of students and staff back to the trust then go back to the movies to collect the others.

Lunch that day will be the usual order and pay $4 in the morning before we go. Mince pies 🥧 & salad🥗
is on the menu.
Lunch will be around 12:00 p.m. as per usual.

The rest of the day will probably be low key as people may feel tired after watching the movie

In briefing time we share korero.

This morning we had a special demonstration by one of our Ākonga Brent who shared his great towel-rolling skills with us that he learned while working at Haka House He had worked there for 9 months.

Brent had been eager to share what he learnt at mahi so that he could help us tidy up our swimming gear area and pass on skills that Ākonga and Kaiako have said they will share with their whānau at home.

Brent has offered to roll our swimming towels after they have been washed and dried.
Now our swimming gear area will be super tidy.

Ngā mihi nui Brent 🤗

We reminded Ākonga that they all have skills and knowledge to share.

This truly embodies "Ako," where we all learn from each other.
Ngā mihi nui Brent! 🙌😊
