The removal of our old shed, which has stood proudly since the early days of the rest home. Over the years, it has been a familiar part of our surroundings and has witnessed many changes, memories, and milestones along the way.

While it's always a little bittersweet to say goodbye to something that has been part of our history for so long, we look forward to the new possibilities and improvements ahead.
Here's to honouring the past while embracing the future.

Today's Highlights

Our residents enjoyed a lovely day filled with meaningful activities and connection. The morning began with our regular morning walks, encouraging fresh air, gentle exercise, and social interaction.

We were also blessed to enjoy beautiful piano music played by Kathy, followed by a joyful sing-along session, where residents shared their favourite songs and memories through music.

The day was completed with a Vineyard Church Service providing residents with an opportunity for worship, fellowship, reflection, and spiritual nourishment.

A wonderful day promoting physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing. Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special.

A Special Visit Filled with Smiles πŸ’–

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful children from Little Steps kids for visiting our residents today.

Moments like these remind us that connection has no age limit. The laughter, curiosity, and genuine interactions shared between the children and our residents brought so much joy to everyone's day. Watching young and old sit together, share stories, look through memory books, and simply enjoy each other's company was truly special.

We see firsthand how meaningful intergenerational connections can be. These visits help spark memories, encourage conversation, reduce feelings of loneliness, and create a sense of purpose and belonging for our residents. At the same time, children learn kindness, empathy, and the value of building relationships across generations.

Thank you, Little Steps Kids, for the smiles, laughter, and warmth you brought into our home today. Your little footsteps made a big impact on our hearts. ❀️
