Martin Lambert Osteopath, M.Ost

I graduated the five year osteopathic programme from Unitec, Auckland in 2006. My master research thesis was centred around the affordability of treatment costs in NZ’s allied health care providers.

Since then I have worked in busy osteo clinics in Auckland, Whangarei, Blenheim and Rotorua. I enjoy treating people of all ages, from newborn to the elderly, and tailor treatment to each patient using a variety of approaches from gentle cranial osteopathic techniques to more structural techniques.

I was appointed to the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand and served for 10 years, including a 3-year term as chair.

I have recently relocated with my family to Taupo from Rotorua. When I'm not in clinic you'll usually find me in a forest on my mountain bike.

Osteopathic treatment for babies and children is very gentle, mostly using techniques known as Cranial Osteopathy. These can often be helpful to improve feeding, sleeping, settling and movement issues.

We work alongside GPs, midwives and lactation consultants to try to help every child (and parent) have the best start to their life journey!

I've always had an interest in treating babies and kids, and have done a lot of postgraduate study in this area. Since 2018 I've been a volunteer practitioner with the The Osteopathic Children's Foundation in Hamilton, working alongside some amazing osteopaths helping some very vulnerable children.
